Technically posted after midnight, but keeping a streak is more important than exact hours. It’s before midnight somewhere. Bumped into a Cambridge friend, failed to buy myself trousers, got a second bump in two days, avoided crashing out at our cox, videocalled Westminster friends, booked family flights. Suboptimal use of Avios was slightly embarrassing. The takeaway from today is to be more engaged in friendships. It’s true that I get a lot of social slack, I can hold myself to higher (normal) standards, and should expect to be treated as such. ...
Day 3
At some point habits hit critical mass, where it is harder to stop than it is to continue. I hope to feel this soon. Wake up late, food, tutoring, meet a friend, bumps, poker tournament. I need to make more of my mornings and evenings.
Day 2
This is my second day of writing. My schedule for the day included waking up late after a PE recruitment talk, getting my hair cut, tutoring for 2.5 hours, a rowing outing (the last one pre-bumps!), then rushing to get to a networking event in London. I will be showing up very late, hopefully will still make something of it. I planned on doing some off-cycle applications today, I doubt I will have much time, will try and get one done on the train. The Bristol Tracker will become one of my coming year’s holy texts I am sure. ...
